Questions and Answers

Welcome to the complex world of crypto. If you are new to crypto the following is a brief background. For more detailed information please use your search engine.

What is a Cryptocurrency?

A cryptocurrency or token, in its broad form, is a digital currency, which is an alternative form of payment created using encryption algorithms. A token is not a round shiny metallic object but is actually a complex software program or Smart Contract. Some tokens, or rather smart contracts, allow for special built-in features such as earning passive income.

Buying and Selling

There are many thousands of different crypto tokens such as the popular Bitcoin, Litecoin, BNB, Ethereum tokens and, of course our new HELP Reward Token. Each have their own features, benefits and usage factors. Many tokens can be purchased or converted using fiat currencies (such as dollars, pounds or Euros etc.) or swapped for other types of tokens. Tokens operate on networks or chains and encrypted transactions are instantly collected and transferred in blocks of information. That’s the source of the term Blockchain.

Types of Tokens

There are about nine types of tokens that include exchange, payment, security, stablecoins, utility, DeFi tokens, NFTs, and asset or commodity backed tokens. Some are regulated but some are not. For example, security tokens act like a stock therefore, they are regulated like a stock. Utility tokens have various underlying usage factors and therefore are not regulated. Every token has its own value so that one token might be swapped for two of another token.

Transaction Fees

Every token transaction incurs a small fee called gas, in addition to any fees that the token has built in. Token prices change constantly on exchanges all over the world and therefore like any investment, there are risks in using cryptocurrencies.

BEP-20 Binance Smart Chain

The HELP Reward Token is a functional Learn-to-Earn BEP-20 Utility Reward token. BEP-20 is the token standard operating on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and provides automatic passive income to every holder. We chose the BNB Smart Chain for it’s low transaction fees and fast execution time.

Wallets

To use cryptocurrencies, you need a cryptocurrency wallet. These wallets aren’t the leather type but rather software that use a cloud-based service and is stored on your computer or on your mobile device. Not all wallets are compatible with every exchange or every token. We recommend the MetaMask wallet which is widely used by millions of people worldwide and compatible with most major exchanges and thousands of tokens. Wallets also serve as a smart storage device for your tokens. Hardware wallets are another smart option instead of keeping your tokens on an exchange. Hardware wallets are separate physical storage devices, similar to a thumb-drive where tokens can be secured offline. The wallets are the tool through which you store your encryption keys that confirm your identity and link to your cryptocurrency and often used during crypto transactions.

Importing Tokens to MetaMask

Even though your tokens have been deposited to your wallet, not every token automatically appears. In some cases you will need to manually import the tokens. It is an easy process that simply requires clicking on “Custom Token” and carefully copy and paste our token address into the specified area on your MetaMask or other wallet. Once the process is completed your tokens will appear and any additions will automatically be added. The HELP Reward Token address is 0xB0666C07E65D43958359ad25AE0307a36005B54d  Symbol is HELP (all capital letters) with 18 decimals. Crypto Networks

There are upwards of 45 different networks or chains. Since crypto tokens operate on chains, it is most important to know what chain your token is operating on. For example, an Etherium-based token operates on the Etherium network or chain and a BNB-based token operates on the Binance network or Smart Chain. The wallet allows for changing to the desired network. To Repeat… whenever you connect with an exchange or transfer tokens you must always be certain you are on the correct network or chain. The HELP Reward Token operates on the BNB Smart Chain BEP-20. Change your network before attempting any crypto functions.
