Happiness Meditation

Happiness doesn’t depend on some outside situation. It is a decision that you make. You can experience happiness just by talking about it. If birds sitting on a tree branch singing make you happy then go outside and listen to them sing. If freshly baked bread makes you happy then start kneeding. It isn’t hard. If being healthy and physically fit makes you happy then take a long, deep, mindful breath and reflect for a moment on your happiness, good health, and your deepest values. Ask yourself what your greatest wish for yourself is.

Continue to breathe deeply and mindfully and offer yourself kind phrases that support the wish that you deserve. Tell yourself “May I be happy, healthy, peaceful and safe.” “May I grow in understanding and live in peace and well-being.” “May I discover my true purpose in life.”
